Other than the use of a DHT22, MICS-2710 and MICS-5525, and a goal of sharing data. No, not really. The underlying hardware is totally different (and so will be the software). Their website acrobotic.com/smart-citizen states they have been at this since 2009.
I'm more curious about the sheer number of components on the sensor board. I count 3 transistors and 4 IC's. I'd love to see the schematic, but it doesn't seem to be available.
