I have (at last) installed my home weather station correctly and I am now getting good readings for temperature, pressure, wind speed, wind direction and rain fall.
This week I want to hook up the data from the internal station display to my Raspberry Pi and start to display that data on a web site.
I would then like to add in sensors to expand the data and I am thinking of the AirPi project to do this.
I have two main questions
1 If I buy the PCB can I omit the pressure, and temp sensor as I have that data from my weather station and still get the rest of the PCB to function
2 Is it possible to build the Airpi sensor array but have it remote from the Pi, has anybody done this ?
I have just mounted a 10ft steel pole to the side of my house and fitted the two wind sensors to the top of this pole. My plan is to also mount the Gas sensors, solar (light) sensor and a UV sensor on this pole also but I do not want my Pi up there.
How easy would it be to communicate back to the Pi remotely
